Informativa sulla privacy

Ultimo aggiornamento: 6 ottobre 2026

In breve: puoi giocare senza registrarti. Puoi eliminare i tuoi dati in qualsiasi momento.

6.1.b GDPR).

Pubblicità

L'app è gratuita e mostra annunci tramite Google AdMob.

Puoi eliminarli in qualsiasi momento:

  • dall'app: Impostazioni → Elimina account, che cancella profilo, punteggi di tutte le classifiche, contributo alla community, amici e codice amico, identificativo per le notifiche e account collegato;

I tuoi diritti

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

In short: you can play without signing up. To run the leaderboards, the app creates an anonymous identifier and stores your nickname and scores. Signing in with Google or Apple is optional, and so are duel notifications. The app shows ads through Google AdMob and, if you agree, collects anonymous gameplay statistics to tune level difficulty. You can delete your data at any time.

Data controller

Jam Escape ("the app") is developed and operated by Emanuele Moschetti (DualLab), the controller of the data described in this policy. Contact: moschetti.ema@gmail.com.

Data stored only on your device

Game progress, statistics, settings and language are stored in the app's local storage. They are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Data collected to run the game

For the leaderboards, duels and other online features the app uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions and Cloud Messaging) and processes the following data:

  • Anonymous identifier: a random user ID created on first launch. It does not contain your name or any other personal information.
  • Nickname: the name you choose, or one generated for you, is visible to other players on the leaderboards.
  • Game data: level reached, levels completed, total moves and score (all-time and weekly), visible on the leaderboards.
  • Daily challenge and seasons: moves, mistakes and time of your first daily challenge attempt, and your season points. They are visible on the related leaderboards.
  • Community goal: how many blocks you cleared during the week. The number is added to everyone else's and is never shown to other players.
  • Duels: your nickname and the result of each round (moves and mistakes) are visible to your opponent. Invitations use a 6-character code.
  • Friends: your friend code, your list of friends and of sent and received requests, and your duel record against each opponent. Whoever adds you sees your nickname; only you can see your list and record.
  • Notifications (optional): if you allow them, the app stores a notification identifier (Firebase Cloud Messaging token), your language and operating system, only to tell you when it's your turn in a duel, when a friend challenges you or sends you a friend request. You can turn them off in your phone settings.
  • Google or Apple account (optional): if you choose to link an account, Firebase receives your email address, profile name and, for Google, profile picture. The email is used only to restore your progress on another device and is never shown to other players. The profile name may be suggested as your nickname.

"Challenge a friend" works without a server: the code you share only contains the puzzle and your result, and you send it yourself with the messaging app you prefer.

Legal basis: performance of the service you request by using the app (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Advertising

The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or the iOS IDFA), your IP address and therefore approximate location, device information, ad interactions and diagnostic data.

  • In the European Economic Area and the UK you are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. Without consent, only non-personalized ads are shown.
  • On iOS the app asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, the IDFA is not used.
  • You can change your choice at any time from the app or device settings.

More details: how Google uses information from partner sites and apps.

Gameplay statistics

To find out whether levels are too easy or too hard, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record how the game is played: level, moves, time taken, mistakes, results of timed challenges, and use of hints and rewarded videos. Firebase adds a random installation identifier, device information (model, operating system, language), the country or region derived from your IP address (the IP address itself is not stored) and game session data.

  • These statistics are not linked to your nickname, your account or the ID used for the leaderboards, and do not include your device's advertising ID.
  • They are not used for advertising and are not sold to third parties.
  • In the European Economic Area and the UK they are collected only if you give consent in the same prompt shown for ads. You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy preferences.
  • They are kept for 2 months.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) in the European Economic Area and the UK; elsewhere, our legitimate interest in improving the game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Other third-party services

The app loads its interface fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a standard network request to Google's servers. Notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iPhone, Apple's push notification service. Challenge links open a page on calycanth.com, whose hosting provider may record your IP address and browser type in its technical logs. All Google services mentioned here are subject to the Google Privacy Policy. Data may be processed on servers outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses).

Retention and deletion

Profile and leaderboard data are kept for as long as you use the app. You can delete them at any time:

  • in the app: Settings → Delete account, which removes your profile, scores on every leaderboard, community contribution, friends and friend code, notification identifier and linked account;
  • or by emailing moschetti.ema@gmail.com with your nickname. Requests are handled within 30 days.

Duels you have already played stay in your opponent's history with your nickname and round results; you can ask for their removal by email.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

Any changes to this policy will be published on this page, together with the update date.
